Over the years, Sandy has worked in the financial and sales professional, executive, and clinical arenas. In combination with her Marriage and Family Therapy training and experience, she is uniquely qualified for building counseling relationships and rapport with her clients. Sandy works under the direction and supervision of Kara McDaniel, PhD, LPC, NCC, DCC who is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and the founder and owner of Lifescapes Counseling Services, LLC.
Sandy’s counseling experience has been working with adults at an addiction facility and more recently at a psychiatric hospital, fervently caring for adolescents and adults with trauma, addictions, and eating disorders. Sandy’s passion is working with adult individuals, couples, and families dealing with challenges in (but not limited to) addictions, trauma, marital discord, premarital preparation, relationship problems, parenting, co-parenting, family difficulties, communication problems, anxiety, depression, stress, and workplace issues.
Her approach is to work toward mutually agreed-upon goals, relieving symptoms, developing coping skills, and creating a vision of transformation emotionally, socially, physically, and (if interested) spiritually. Based on her passion for counseling and the belief that life is a learning process, Sandy strives for her clients’ to identify their strengths and gain wisdom in handling life’s difficulties.
To balance her life, Sandy enjoys running, fast walking, watching movies, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.
