As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Anna works under
the direction and supervision of Kara McDaniel, PhD, LPC, NCC,
DCC who is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and the founder and
owner of Lifescapes Counseling Services, LLC. Anna works with
individuals, couples, and families facing challenges in life and
watching as growth, strengths and self-awareness develop
throughout therapy. Anna believes that the therapeutic journey
can be a meaningful chapter in one’s life. Anna's foundation as
a therapist lies in the family systems perspective meaning she
looks at the family system as a whole and the relationships
within the family when working with clients, even if working
with one person. She believes in meeting clients where they are
while fostering a safe, trustworthy environment. Anna strives to
provide symptom relief, coping skills, and self-awareness that
can be used throughout life. Anna received her Bachelor of
Science degree in Human Environmental Sciences from the
University of Alabama and obtained her Master of Family Therapy
from Mercer University's School of Medicine. She is a member of
the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the
Georgia Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Her
experience includes working in community, school, hospital and
clinic settings. Passionate about helping others, her focus of
therapy includes treating relational issues, anxiety,
depression, behavioral issues and grief and loss. Additionally,
Anna has a background in working with individuals with special
needs including those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder as
well as individuals diagnosed with cancer and their families. As
a native Georgian, in her spare time, Anna enjoys spending time
with her family and friends, taking barre classes, watching
college football, and playing with her dog and cats.
